AL Dhaka north, south units get new presidents, GSs

The ruling Awmai League on Saturday picked Abu Ahmed Mannafi and Sharfuddin Ahmed Sentu for Dhaka South City unit and Sheikh Bazlur Rahman and SM Mannan Kochi for Dhaka North unit as president and general secretary respectively.

Awami League general secretary Obaidul Quader made the announcement following the council sessions of Dhaka North and South City units of Awami League at the Suhrawardy Udyan.

The prime minister and president of Awami League Sheikh Hasina inaugurated the council as the chief guest by hoisting the national flag as well as releasing pigeons and balloons.

The last council of Dhaka City Awami League was held on December 27, 2012.
